I heard this on Heart FM this morning. I bloke in America bought a desk from a website for $150, when it arrived In the bottom drawer there was $110.000.

What would you do if you found the money in the desk???

Yep. It is legally his money. Morally, it would depend if it had been a private sale or from a business or reseller.

If someone is daft enough to keep that kinda money in a draw of a desk you ask me they don't deserve to get it back and obviously don't need it

Haven't we all done something majorly stoopid at times? Although legally all the money would be mine, I'd try to contact the original seller and go halves.

A nice windfall for both of us.

The story been on the net for a few days now, The man was a Rabbi so he did what was right give it back to them. He talk to lady to got the desk off first and worked it was her money so gave it back.

This is what I would do as well.

When I was about 15 I found a wallet .. it had 500 pounds in it .. I contacted the number I found and returned it to the owner ... thought I would get some sort of cash reward a tenna say !! No I got an apple .... so bugger that im keeping the cash now lol xxxx tabitha xxx

I would stick it in a high interest account, just in case there was something dodgy about. In a years time spend, spend, spend.
