I know it's to try and cut down on the amount of energy we use but if people are limited to 900 watts, they'll use their hoover for quadruple the time making it a pointless exercise.

People don't like being told what they can and can't have by the powers that be, although I agree with you.

Manufacturers will just redesign their kit to still suck just as well with smaller motors, so it won't really make a difference to the masses anyway

Exactly- why are people being paid a ridiculous sum of money to come up with ridiculous short sight disjointed ideas when the money could be put forward to much better causes?!

Clean the filter and it'll still suck at the full power, even after 7 years lol
