Masked and Distant

On this programme the other night Prof B.Cox was tried to answer the question are we alone. And it got me thinking.

If life on other planets IS found that would surely disprove the existance of God? As he made The Earth, not lots of them.

But if we are alone in the cosmis does that prove Gods existance?

Well it is Sunday

"ok who exactly made God ? sort that youve cracked it simples "
He's the guy (or girl) on the outside who sort of blew the stuff into the expanding bubble we inhabit wall of...

Lets just hope it was blown out of the right end or this could just be a load of shit...

Sorry

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I watched that and it didn't make me think of creationism.

If you have faith then there is nothing to say God didn't make other worlds. He just didn't give us knowledge of them.

The question is not are we alone in the universe but will mankind meet any life that is not of this earth.

when you think about the number of starts out there it is mind blowing. There are 1000s of galaxy out there. So the number say there has to life somewhere.

Then you have the volume of space we are talking about and the time to get any where the answer say no will we not.

One day if we can go fast than light even then it is only a may be.

I love to meet an alien.

It's very possible that there is other life, and that it's humanoid or similar, but the chances of ever knowing it are just about impossible.

1.) We are not the centre of the universe and neither is our galaxy. So we wont have been the first like us to exist. But it's possible that all former lifeforms have burned out and become extinct in much the same way we view previous life on Mars.

2.) We all began as micro-organisms, changing through millions of years of evolution. Any other planet that has been able to support life has or will support life, because the universe is crawling with bacteria carried in dust and asteroids. All it takes for that bacteria to thrive is an environment that has heat and water/moisture.

3.) All universal energy is infinite, a chain reaction of constant vibration as the universe infinitely expands. Even though a fire might die out, it lives on in kinetic energy through the elements. Heat clashes with cold, causes condensation, causes rain, causes electricity in thunder storms, causes atmospheric change, causes vibrations throughout space, causes the universe to continue to stretch like an infinite echo.

4.) I wonder, in that sense, are we killing god (if there is one) by eating up his kitchen space?

5.) By god I mean the opposite of existence, the void that the universe expands out into/the cradle of existence.

6.) Somebody help, I can't stop, mind imploding...

7.) WHOOMPHHHH!!!

I would take issue with your first statement. The fact is that no matter which direction you look in the background radiation is the same except for localized clumps, and is expanding at a uniform speed in all directions. This means that we ARE at the centre of the universe. However everywhere else is also the centre of the universe.

That is why I said god is the guy who blew all the stuff into the expanding bubble that we are living on the wall of. Because this is the only way for everywhere to be the centre of the universe unless we are living in a hologram as some have suggested.

That's one way of looking at it, but it's just another way of saying we exist inside a nucleus of some sort.

The larger the universe will get, we will eventually be so small in comparison that we may easier be classed as the centre of the universe, but not until it's relevant, and it may never be relevant.

I don't know where you read the universe is crawling with bacteria

we are yet to find any life off earth.

people talk about breaking the speed of light like all it takes is a new machine.its not that simple.that is a speed limit set by physics, not by mans inability to design a ship.

its all theoretical, the amount of energy needed would be mind blowing.

we will be designing humans to travel that far.will need generations of people willing to give up their lives to spend it in a craft.the closet star apart from the sun is 5 ly away.
