A popular subject on fabs but (in the useless information dept) did you know that it is the 100 year anniversary of the first custard pie being thrown in a comedy film?

I wonder if it was custard back then and not the foamy stuff they use now.

I'm not a fan of custard but I do have a yen for a cream filled eclair right now.

Yes it was the real thing in early films with blackberry filling if it was to be aimed at a blonde and lemon meringue for a brunette, on the basis that the contrasting colours showed up better on black and white film
