Just had to ask, is it so hard to take time and read a profile guys???

I tend to read the profile before looking at the pics, because if it's something that ain't going to happen why bother looking at something you're never going to get. It just reduces the amount misery this site can cause you.  |

because they don't have to, it is not compulsory behaviour.
they may have read it, hotlisted you and make contact when they see you on line
and a good few other reasons.
one thing is for sure: it won't change any time soon despite a million threads on the subject  |

It's because this country is anti intellectual, anyone who can spell, read or write is seen as an outsider, someone to be wary of, someone who is committing the cardinal sin of self improvement.
Or maybe guys are horny little buggers who go straight to the pics??

Yes if he's in a hurry or can't read or thinks you'll fuck anything or he's brainless or desperate.
If he's making a career out of it and want's to pass his profile reading badge then he'll probably make more effort. |

It's an extension of the principle that people feel somehow more deserving today than in the past, with an expectation that little needs to be invested in order to get maximum returns.
I think fab helps rebalance things somewhat, in this regard. There will be some who respond to the spam priniciple. Spammers send millions of spam emails, needing just the odd fraction of 1% to earn them some money. |

Iv found that lots of women write profiles so long that men start to read it then get bored and irritated with the amount of conditions and do's n don'ts some women's profiles seem to be very stern or even quite angry.
I do understand women get lots of the same old msg's like wanna fuck,your sexy,hi,how you, ext ext but we ain't all like that and some of us men get our fare share of that sort of thing. The amount of fat old hairy geezers sending me msg's asking if they can suck my big cock or nice cock mate and yea it gets on MY nerves but I don't give them SHIT I just delete an move on till someone fit sends a msg so let's just hope that's not pissed all you lady's off I'm only being truthful ok

The whole profile thing is a nonsense. I have read profiles that go on for ever and met the authors..........they just didn't tally.
A picture, a phone call and a social meeting is the best way to a successful assignation. No surprises no lies and a chance to say thanks but no thanks. Its called being sensible and adult! |

I think a lot of people get messages from people outwith their search criteria. Some of us simply delete, move on as the world continues to turn. Others get their panties in a bunch get apoplectic rant and rave.  |

My singles profile isn't too long, doesn't have loads of rules and states what I want. But I still get messages from guys who don't match.
I think it really is a combination of the effect the pictures have on people (rendering them incapable of reading) and a scattergun approach to messaging.
If you copy and paste enough people to tell them they are hot and you want to chat someone will reply.
I reply to all my messages and if they don't match I ask if they have read my profile. They often say they have but were just "trying their luck".
It's a problem that will never go away  |
