.

Indeed, and it makes them last for longer.

One of the local bakery does them in single slices, so that I don't have to buy a whole cake at a time.

A cake is about 4 portions for me!

My favourite cut of pork is the belly.

One of my favourite dish is sort of a sweet and sour slow cook belly pork chunks, and the juice/sauce is really thick and gooey, full of fat and gelatin from the skin, yum yum!!!

I think Lardy cake is a southern thing, My hubby is from London and bought me my 1st lardy cake there. I am from manchester and have never seen it here. Don't let the name put you off its actually very nice and only slightly greasy or maybe that is just because you know its it there lol

At least you tried Zoe, I gave up trying to make scones years ago cos mine wont rise so when I try again I throw fruit in them and call then rock cakes the kids actually think thats what I make

Now fairy cakes and sponges well I imagine they taste quite good but havent had any in years cos the minute the kids and hubby smell Im baking I can forget tasting any hubby has decided he is the official taster and woe betide anyone who thinks their fingers are faster than his

Good effort Zoe!

I am no good at baking, hence I don't do it anymore and buy stuff from shops instead.
