London's black cabbies have been voted the best in the world again. This is the sixth year in a row that they have achieved this.
The survey was by hotels dot com and London cabbies scored twice as many votes as second placed New York.
So when in London it's the only way to travel. |

"Given how many cabbies there are on Fab why aren't any of you available to take me to meets and then return me safely home?
Well done London Black Cabs.
"
You're obviously putting your hand up in the wrong places. |

"So when a cabbie says he's going to swing the cab around, is that his admission if being a Fab member ?"
Not quite , but I did do a double take when a rather fetching lady asked me to take her up the embankment |

I'd never rely on a black cab to get me home from central London. When I go to the theatre, travelling back into London etc I book my local cab company to pick me up: they're not averse to crossing the Thames!
Our train was delayed into London from Bournemouth. By the time we got to Waterloo the last tube had gone. At the time I lived in Nunhead, five miles max, my friend Slough 80 odd miles. British rail provided taxis to take us home.
There were four people for south London waiting for a cab on that train. My friend was phoning me from his bed in Slough, we were still outside Waterloo station! |

I'm sorry to hear this. If you ever get refused by a taxi take the number on the white plate at the back and report them. There's no excuse for a refusal to Nunhead. |
