Is there any point in sending someone a friends invite saying that your interested in them and are just what they are looking for if you keep your profile hidden?
Is that common practice on here?...what would you do if you recieved one?

Does that mean that they can look at your private pics but you cant look at theirs?
If that is the case then we wouldnt accept,we only accept friends invites of people we have met or are planning on meeting. |

Guess they could have forgotten it was hidden. If you think you might be interested (maybe from their avatar) then can't be any harm in sending a mail saying why you couldn't make a decision based on lack of information. The choice is yours (bit like blind date in more ways than one! ) |

Nope, you can still view peoples pictures when their profile is hidden
having said that, maybe they forgot the profile was still hidden. |

No..the one we had actually stated that they keep their profile hidden..and gave a 'reason'..we just thought it pointless as, like someone said..how can you make a decision on whether to make contact with them...(checked earlier..it wasnt a friends invite it was a message...but same principle in our opinion..)...just wondered if its common practice? |
