So which album cover is your all time favourite, for whatever reason...
Mine is Aladdin Sane by Bowie
Very Iconic now and reproduced a zillion times in the past few years |

"Either the original vinyl album cover for the Rolling Stones “Sticky Fingers” complete with working zipper
Or
UFO’s “No Heavy Petting”
"
What about the original Some Girls by the stones |

'Yes' albums with artwork by Roger Dean such as 'Close to the Edge' are very inspiring.
I once saw an exhibition in Brighton and the original pictures are huge, about 20 feet wide and 10 feet tall. |

Pink Floyds 'Division Bell' is a wonderfully eerie album cover, and a special mention for Black Grapes 'Stupid Stupid Stupid' for the working googly eyes |

New Order's 12" Blue Monday. The artwork on the cover is apparently based on a royalty and together with other costs , it actually loses money with every unit sold . And it still holds the record for units sold
Art is costly |

Look closely at the horses on the Foxtrot album. One of them has an erection. Got that past the censors in the seventies!
Artistic licence don't you know! And clever brushwork. |

May not be the greatest but certainly memorable :
Carly Simon - No Secrets
Maybe it was taken on a cold day, maybe not if other photos are to be believed.

I think Mike Oldfield had one where it came with a foil. The image was distorted until you placed the fiil in the middle of the artwork (shaped foil as a cylinder) and the image then came out as a reflection, ommadawn. I think. |
