People buttering my toast really should pay attention to getting the butter all over the toast and not just the middle.

No no no your quite right, the toast needs to be buttered right, if not the whole of civilisation is at risk, you might as well put the milk in the tea first, madness

Tsk, you can't get the staff nowadays. And I must admit, I do require a specific combination of hot toast and cold butter. And, while we're on the subject, all the holes in a crumpet filled.

This is a crossover to the 'when we were kids' thread coz we got our arses hit with 'the butter-patter' (very superlative) when I was at school. And now a whip as well. It just gets better and butter
