What made you smile today

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

Not had one of these for a while and it is Monday. So what made you smile today?

An unexpected text off someone asking how I got on today.

A chat and giggle with a lovely lady.

Made plans to see a friend later in the week.

I'm blessed that I enjoy life. Plenty made me smile, the lady on the bus, workmates banter. But most of all my good morning message off my man followed by the news he booked my spa day treat and lots of kisses xxxxx, that & my 14yr old visiting me & discovering she has been doing it so much cos her big sister left a few weeks ago & she don't want me on my own. So instead she leaves dad alone. Should I tell her I quite like the peace?

Watching the "classy totty" getting out of her range rover in tesco's car park, walking elegantly across the car park in her designer clothes and high heals with her nose so far in the air that air traffic control had an interest in it. As she approached the shop entrance she tripped on the kerb and nearly went flat on her face !! classic !!

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

I was cleaning rust off a tractor wheel with a powered wire wheel tonight. My sister looked at me, lit up another B&H, coughed her guts up and said to me ........ "Aren`t you going to wear a mask to keep the dust out?"

I de-rust 2 big tractor wheels in my life, she smokes 20 B&H a day!

I finally did smile.

Finished my Insanity training, then went to the gym for some weights. But, I was craving for chicken after the first workout out sooo bad! And i didn't even have any today, as in the morning all i had was some spinach (honest).

...my aunt calls me, and says she's outside my gym. She has a little surprise for me. So, i done my shower and everything. Went down, and she bought me four pieces of grilled chicken breast. Just the way i like it.

I was the happiest man ever at that moment.

What made me smile was a meet confirmation although it was more a delighted grin.

It's a bit like decorating. Once you get to the end, you start all over again.

Giggling with my brother about silly memories, like the letter he once received from the local authorities, addressed to 'Mr. Benefits Claimant'. When he showed it to the civil servant responsible, she said, "Well, perhaps there was a Mr. Claimant living at your address before you moved in?".

Epsom

A friend started a new job this week as a receptionist. While sitting near her desk this morning a she pulled herself to the desk by holding onto the desk, if you work at a desk you will know what I mean, while doing this she managed to press the panic button, next thing there's a really loud siren going off, louder than a fire alarm, she's sitting there hands on ears thinking what the f&&*

The police turned up, one of the mangers fell off his chair, Mate is apologising and worrying they will fire her!

I at this point was in hysterics, so not too sure of much else of what happened, but she did mention her manager and another person the other week were speaking about the "panic button" and didn't know if it was still live or not and wanted to test it out. I don't think they informed her of the button to see what would happen!

Was the funniest thing I've heard in a while
