I remember those books you could buy which were all just code. Took pretty much a whole day to input it all only to be rewarded with a rather naff game.

Trying to imagine the latest version of windoze written is basic, it might actually be an improvement

Visual Basic is just a variation of dialect to BBC basic, sprites have become better is all! C++ and JavaScript are not massively dissimulator sort of Spanish v English v 2nd century English... think the biggest change is the internet is now available as a variable.
