I remember sitting, holding my breath, awaiting for the song to end or the dj to stop talking, to press down, play and record...Not sure I'd fancy doing that nowadays. Spotify rules imho ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

I suppose it's possible with a recording programme to record what is being played in another window in your computer and then export it as an mp3 but it's a long winded way if doing it you might as well download it lol |

Audacity would be about the easiest for this, I use it to record the odd radio program that I want to keep.
Agree ref downloading mp3 files, though - much easier. |

Technically, you can record and archive music, movies etc to be listened to or watched at a later stage for personal use.
It's sharing and selling which is the problem |

"Its a bit different isnt it? You woudl tape the radio so you could hear it on demand.
Spotify is already on demand, so why?"
Because at the moment, I have the free trial, so I can listen on my phone without any data charges. If I "tape" songs I can still do it without coughing up the £10 a month ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |
