Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I'm trying to get motivated to go to a birthday party in a bar tonight. It's cold and rainy and I have to go into Town proper.
I haven't picked anyone up in a bar, or anywhere else, since my early twenties. What do I have to do to get a happy ending to my evening?

It's a bit late asking for help on the day, my suggestions would take about 3 months to put into practice.

sods law dictates that if you go with the intention of 'picking up' someone then you most likely wont..
go and have a good time with no expectations, if it happens its a bonus..

I remember waking up in a strange bed on the other side of London. I ended up in East London and I lived in South London and it was on a week day I had to get on the tube no make up my hair a mess and clothes from the night before...some bloke on the tube gave me his large financial times and said I think you need this...and I open in and hid...now the night before I thought this bloke was a stud I woke up the next morning and looked...I am sure he thought the same about me..never saw him again after that lol |

The man I was with left me in his house to go to work .. I had to find a letter so I knew his address to call a cab. Very trusting Munster !! |

Well, I'm home alone. I tried but the women were more interesting to chat to and my flirting with men didn't work.
It was a free bar though so I'm pleasantly tipsy and I felt great. |

There is such a thing as taking things too far. Like, say, posting a Remembrance thread on every single forum.
It is permissible to think about, and talk about other things on Remembrance Sunday. That's one of those freedom things so many died for.
Besides, it's the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month that is the key time. Not midnight. Not 2am. Not whatever time you decide people should be posting on whichever threads.
I have donated twice to the charity. I am wearing a wristband. I won't forget. I also won't be told which threads to post on and when by a self important total stranger.
