Didnt stop me smoking... Coz really I didnt want to.... But...
When I blew my back, a long while ago, I had a course of six treatments and was pain free from the first.... Not had a twinge since....
Same as hypnotherapists.... You need to find a good one... |

Had it when pregnant for various pains and then a few years later for knee trouble. Reallyvery eeffective for me. I'd say that I had maybe 4 sessions for my knee. And agree with the the wiggle comment above, when the needles have been in place for a while the lady would wiggle them about a bit. |

I had acupuncture over a six month period given to me by a consultant in an NHS hospital to try and counteract pain from spinal stenosis it didn't achieve anything really apart from making me desperate to pee every time he did it he eventually agreed that it was achieving nothing. I then had it again administered by a physiotherapist again NHS and it made me very woozy and almost drugged he said that he wasn't prepared to do it again due to having that effect.
In short I would say that acupuncture definitely has an effect but I can't say that it was the one I wanted. |

"how many times did you have to do for a treatment, is it a one off or several visits?"
I had 3 visits and now everything is fine as it was over 9 years ago |

I suppose it depends on the individual and type of complaint.
Having had it done myself, I can only say that yes it did work for me. It hasn't healed everything, but the pain is no longer there |

I have had several times for a shoulder injury after crashing my bike and I would say that it does ease the pain, but not sure of its long term benefits |
