I'm on one of these, it's ridiculous. I've started this new job for a couple of months, last month I made 115.24 LOL this month I'll make 700 and likely the following month 200! It's insane. Obviously because your deemed as working, you can't get any help!
Really don't know what to do I'm looking for another job but does anyone have any experience on being on one of these contracts? How can you live with uncertainty of how much your getting?! Before anyone starts I am grateful to have a job but it's starting to take the biscuit now! |

You basically get taxed on what you earn over a year |

I am sorry you are in that position. I am old enough to remember when a Union actually did something about this kind of thing. I remember doing my best to keep Sundays for families and how shop workers were bullied and threatened to agree to work Sundays or loose promotion chances etc. Seems like a small thing nowadays, until companies like John Lewis find they owe millions in back pay. What about all the other retailers, what do they owe.
This country is getting worse. |

Honestly it's shocking, 24 and despising my own country lol, I'm going to France on Wednesday, not paid for by me lol whilst I'm there if I manage to find a job just like bar work or something I will certainly not be returning to the uk well if I have the choice that is!
Companies like John Lewis and the rest are just a big monopoly with law of their own! |

Right better go and do my few hours stint!
Suppose the saying is, instead of moaning about it, get up and change!
