Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
4 hours from when I got to the hospital to when she popped out. Not sure I considered it a pleasant experience, and I only had one kid, but it could have been worse. My sisters first took 48 hours |

First was 2 hours 25 minutes. 4th was 1 hour 4 minutes. Total combined was 8 hours 20 minutes for all 4 of mine. I've always wanted a normal 8 hour labour like other ladies. |

I've had sections with all mine, I went into labour with my first, I couldn't pass her though, they knew she was going to be big but decided to let me try natural first, after 36 hours they took me down as she was getting stressed, she weighted 12 pound 5 so was glad I didn't pass her natural
my other two were planned sections so never went into labour |

mine was 6 hours from start to finish, the midwife on the phone didnt think I was ready to come in so was stuck in labour at home with no gas and air and asking for an epidural already lol
It was only the last hour of my labour I got into hospital and I was 9cm and told it was too late for an epidural, so your damn right I chowed down on that gas and air lol. I quickly became fully dialated and when it was time to push I did one big push and there she was!
Wouldnt hesitate to do all it all over again! |

I've delivered five babies ... the shorted labour was 1 hour and they had to round the second stage UP to 1 minute (it was closer to 20 seconds - they could've done with a catchers mitt!)
The longest labour was 36 hours - THAT was hard going!
The others were variations in between |

First, was induced on the Sunday night approx 9.30pm. She was born at 9.35pm on the Tuesday night. It all went horribly wrong and wifey was rushed into theatre had to have csection under general anaesthetic.I was not allowed in and spent the first hour with me daughter whilst waiting for wife to come round. It was not a particularly enjoyable experience. Our second we chose elected c section as the risks were quite high. It was a much calmer relaxed experience the 2 nd time, and we got to meet our son together....... |

With me my mums waters broke on the 6th July and I was born on the 11th. Back on the 70's they only had ear horns and mum was told they couldn't hear a heart beat I would be born dead! Was a student dr at the birth saw me gasp as I eventually came out. Mop of ginger hair weighing 9lb 11oz haha poor old girl had a 4th degree tear too. No wonder she didn't have any more after me haha. |
