My nights are 19.00 to 0.800
Shite... But doable what really paps my body clock up is when I do a couple of nights ... One day shift then another night perhaps this has some accounting for my craziness!!! |

I do 12 and half hr shifts of days and nights,I don't mind nights but if you have trouble sleeping during the day 4 on is a lot and of the 4 off you'll be sleeping on the one you come off the night and you'll have to sleep part of the one where you start the night shift again,I would'nt like that pattern but then my nights are very busy whereas some can sleep half the night away,it depends on what job you're doing as to whether you feel you can cope with it |

Looks like I'm the only one that's burnt out from doing nights all these years then ...lol...
All the above members who replied .....
Don't you find it gets in the way of your social/ personal life .....especially this lifestyle as pretty much everything is on a weekend ....clubs , meets, parties .....I've currently in a stint of working 6 weeks straight of nightshift weekends ....think you could sacrifice so much and miss all the fun so often on a regular basis ???
Feedback appreciated ... |

i work nights..havnt had to get used to them though. Decided was easier and suits my body clock as always been a night owl. I was more tired working days and going bed in the early hours and going work on so little sleep.
I do 3 set nights a week any more is overtime.
I have set rotas and know all next year what working so easy to plan stuff and socialise still. |

I've done staggered shifts for years.
You either think the sacrifices are worth the money or you choose not to do it.
I work 7 rotor'd nights a month plus overtime. To do perminant nights you would need to pay me an awful lot more as that's a lot more sacrifice. Even then I am not sure I would choose perminant nights.
4 or 4 off is a crap shift I think for perminant night. Do 12 hours 4 on 6 off is more livable.
How did you get 6 weekends in if you are on 4 on 4 off? Overtime? If so that's a choice lol. |

Well I do weekend days 0700-1900 then 3 night shifts during the week 1800-0800 and to be honest I've gotten used to it, just a shame I've gotta start at 0400 today that's gonna mess me up |

No idea... I don't do the shift rota ....I wouldn't volunteer for 6 weeks of weekends stuck at a desk for 12 hours through the night . |
