I will write long letters (by hand) to those friends/family that are far away.
Those closer, I invite them home and cook them a nice meal and by staying in touch, and caring about them and what is important to in their lives. |

Last week I used pickled onions.
So far this week it has been toffee, but tomorrow it will be parkin.
Like others in this thread I cook for people I want to show appreciation to.
There has been one recent variation on this theme when I took someone's car to get a tyre replaced cos getting time off would have Bernard a nightmare for them and all I had planned was wasting time between hospital appointments.
A little thought, time and personal effort go a lot further than just bunging money around - which is a good thing cos I'm time rich and money poor at the moment! |

I know they say you don't do favours for favours, but if someone helps me out. I'll insist on returning it. Maybe go out of my way to do it and say "its done now". Family wise intend to but their favourite item for Christmas too. Regardless of the cost. |

I am wondering now and other guys will be too. How to feel appreciated by you "
I allow (some of) them to join in a MMF, or MMMF, or . . . |

"I allow Obi into my house - isn't that enough?! What about others APART from Obi?
I allow my mother to babysit . . . But you would be up shit creek if she didn't, try harder, no one else? "
I don't really have anyone else, except the child
I show my other babysitter I appreciate her by paying at the end of the night |

I'm at the end of the phone in times of laughter, anger and sharing information. I use my professional expertise where possible, I help with lifts... Oh and I give the occasional blow job to those male ones who are special!! |

"I like the surprise anonymous present from ebay, posted to them A mischievous one ? "
Mostly comedy ones to be honest. Or ones that are so mind bogglingly random that they spend weeks trying to work it out. Send 100gm of sweets to a friend for no reason and they are grateful, but puzzled as hell about it all.
I am now regarded as most people I know as a menace to society, due to a creative mind and access to ebay. |

There's a John Mayer song that has a great title/lyric 'Love ain't a thing, love is a verb'.
I believe our every action can be used to demonstrate how much we love someone - or not.
