Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I have this on as I'm working from home (yes, I do get some done).

I haven't seen it in years but it strikes me that it's films like this that make the NSA turning into marriage idea get into your head. Along with the hold onto your virginity of course.*

I love these old films but does their influence still pervade?

*The storyline is a rich man almosts runs an attractive woman down. He then 'adopts' her as his new NSA project. She is pure and innocent and although she agrees to go away with him she can't go through with giving herself away. He falls in love and they end up happily ever after.

No, Cary Grant is ghey and Doris Day was never that hot. (Not counting Calamity Jane of course).

Hope this answers your question. x

So where does the mink come in then? I won't watch a film for a couple hours waiting on her mink being touched if it's not goin to happen!

It's a metaphor. Plus it's a mink coat to 'buy' her participation. Doris is an animal lover too.

Is that the storyline of 50 Shades? I didn't know.

Now, back to the thread.

Have we been brainwashed by films to expect a happy ever after?
