Gambia a lovely place for couples, i'm sure you will love it ! It has been 20 years since i was there and they at that time were desperate for pens, pencils and paper and Nike trainers if you would like to leave them for them lol ! But never met anyone that was rude, but they can be a bit of a pest if you really want to be on your own.
There silver service in restaurants was interesting as i'm sure that has probably been sorted now, i hope you are not staying too close to Banjul as the mozies are far more previlant in that area so make sure you take your anti malaria meds !
Would love to go back sometime and enjoy the lovely heat and relaxed atmosphere ! |

Make sure you take your anti malaria medication and continue when you return.
When i was there if you were near Banjul, the mozzies were more of a problem but, out on main coast line was much better. Go on as many trips you can plenty to see and do ! Don't be affraid of the beach pests as they are just trying to befriend you so they might make some money by showing you around to Markets etc, overall they are very friendly. Lots of unmade roads taxis with no seat covers on, sitting on the seat springs lol Mind your money etc if going for trips into banjul, black market money was always very good value but take local advice !
Have a great time ! |
