we get it aswell and i think its due to poor connection
you can now go on yahoo or paltalk and add on your msn buddies , yahoo seems a bit less temperamental , as i think its not so complex
if your windows messenger is out of date if forces you to upload the latest version or you cant sign in
but once you have uploaded the complicated windows live you can go into computer proggrames and open the old antique msn
it is more reliable but with less bells and whistles and if all you want to di is chat with friends its perfectly ok |

Googletalk is ok. Lets hope it gives msn a run for its money as msn sucks far too much memory. |

I always find that by blocking the adverts at the bottom of your friends list reduces msn crashes.
if you want to know how, google
"block rad.msn.com"
and it will tell you how

can you tell us if that might stop the adds either side of your hotmail , you dont get them in the library or internet cafe , so they must have a blocker .......... cheers  |

No that will only stop the ones at the bottom of your friends list.
If you search google though you should be able to find the add server they use for hotmail though.
I always windows live mail that you can choose to install along with msn.. no adverts in that and quicker hehe
