Carberry is a technically better batsman than Root. The young tyke is punching above his weight at the moment bur will be a good opener with time. I am off to watch the boxing day test..........how lucky am I??? |

He opens well at County level but sadly has been found out at Test.
Personally wish they'd drop Bairstow and let him concentrate on playing for Yorkshire but Carberry may find it much different when he opens against a better attack in the first test. The openers need to retire and let the middle order have a go before we declare and let the bowlers get some overs in after the last two days of rain!
Then it's roll on the First Test. |
