I can understand it sometimes, people develop friendships that sometimes stay via the site for no real reason other than they just stick to messaging through here, so to announce it allows anyone that may want to stay in touch the chance to arrange to do so. |

Perhaps they find leaving the site and all the fun and games associated with it is more difficult than they have first anticipated.
Or, they could be attention seekers who needed to feel wanted, hence they put up threads about them leaving to see how many peeps would respond etc... |
