"What's maldonsalt? Lol "

I assumed it was salt from Maldon in Essex. Not far from Tiptree.

Salty butter goes with just about anything.

I really did think the thread was just naming places in that part of Essex, hence my original response.

No, I haven't got a good swallow reflex. Lobster, crab, mussels, scallops, cockles, fish yes. Squid no.

It is. I went there for the first time in September. Four of us shared a feast of everything we wanted and it only cost £62. You take your own drink and bread and butter but that just seems to make it better.

First time I had them, I swallowed the first, chewed the second. I thought that chewing brought out the flavour of the sea so much more. Swallowing seemd like such a waste

Yet in Fabland swallowing is seen as the thing that isn't a waste.

Maybe I'll try one to chew at the chippy.

My local chippy does lobster, oysters, tempura prawns and whatever fish you like. Plus lots of extras like pickled quails eggs and venison pies.

It's just down the road from Tongue in Cheek - they do deliver but it's better, hotter, there or takeaway to eat in the park.

Maybe I'm being a bit thick here but are we talking about jam with salt in or jam from a place with Salt in the name?

I thought it was places that have food stuffs that bear their name or places in Essex. Only the OP knows and he hasn't said what he meant.
