Glasgow

An indication of the increasing popularity of 'serious' drama is the RSC's production of Richard II which is being shown in cinemas across the UK later this month.

The popularity might have something to do with David Tennant in the lead role, but if that's what it takes .........

And Waitrose. I've got the best part of the tub of Quality Street I got for the door knockers. I'll be watching.

It's been quite a range of things so far - the beauty of the National Theatre. I hadn't realised I had seen so many NT productions.

Although the Arts Council is saying that if they cut NT funding they could fund all regional theatres. It's a tricky one.

Do you get the same things on the plate in every language though?

Me too. Songs to sing along to. Shows to remember, great performances. I'd forgotten I went to see Guys and Dolls and Jerry Springer as NT productions. So much developed just because of the NT commissioning new work.

Most recently it's been War Horse and One Man 2 Guvnors. I haven't been able to get tickets for The Curious Incident.
