If you meet up with couples/singles etc and go to clubs then yes! If you're on here just to chat then no! That's like me saying I'm a golfer for chatting on a golfing forum with no intention of striking a ball! But really who cares?...... |

theres so much variety in the meets(even those over the internet) that there isnt any real definition

As Wikipedia and the OED seem to think that the definition of swingers include single people, I think this is one of those words that will eventually evolve into having a broader meaning than originally thought.
However, anyone who would rather argue definitions about a word than meet and bonk each others brains out is probably a touch too pedantic for me.  |

People use labels for a reason. Not many people buy the tins of food with no label on. You could have been hoping for beans and end up with prunes.
That is exactly why people use labels. You wouldn't meet someone not having a clue what they are would you.
The definition of swinging is partner swapping BUT you can call yourself what you want as long as its honest.

the problem is, when you drop labels, no one knows what they are getting.
have said it before
swinging has moved on from the archetypical 'keys in the bowl wife swapping' so no longer just means couples HOWEVER.... it cant just be described as people with liberal attitudes to sex and easy virtue, as that would then throw the lifestyle open to those that go out of a weekend and get d*unk, end up down a back alley giving a blowey to the first bloke that didnt recoil at their puke smelling breath (and obviously the opposite also counts).
but then, as swingles, it also cant be contained to those that go to swinging clubs, as not all do, or are interested in doing so.
also, not all swingles are on this site, so it really is a very difficult thing to define within solid perameters.
i really should wake up in a less thoughtful mood as i have jst typed all that then thought 'why? nobody cares anyway' lol |

Must admit when we joined this site many years ago we were surprised to see single people here. We quickly realised that this is not a wife swapping site (not sure if they exist but they probably do). This is a site for people to come and have sex with others. Not sure of the definition of “a swinger” but we love this site so wouldn’t go to a wife swap site even if there is one. There are plenty of sites for singles looking for 1 to 1 sex and this is one of them. Its here to be used as the members see fit and we just love it. xxx |

a couple who swap partners..as opposed to those who are 'wifeswappers' is a fine definition to me
those that can include themselves in group sex scenarios are a fine definition(even if they dont physically participate)
those only interested in one to one meetings, might not be considered as swingy as others

It is the couples that go on about how singles are not swingers but then want me to join them for a ffm, & yet if a male were to approach them... different story.
You either accept singles as swingers and engage in more sum sex with them or dont, Gender has no influence there.

Singles can but not for a long period of time, only short bursts. As in coming out of a relationship, confidence boost etc.
I've had many breaks on here, dating wise and clear my head. As i think being single longterm only plays with your head with how alot can be on here, often men want to date a women on here, which might work for some but not for me.
Might sound crazy but it'd be a long while before i told a guy i was dating about swinging and even then i'd liked as a fem friend for a ffm first.
I just wouldn't be comfortable with a future partner being on here until i could fully trust him and that takes time. again thats my _iew point, many have done different and had no issues and solid relationships, as they have found their soul mate and life is a open book. The sods lol

I get the 'singles can't be swingers' on the face of it as there is no partner to swap, but for me personally that's just cos I haven't got a partner. If I were to get into a relationship I really do think I'd still want to be a part of this lifestyle, just with him too. Guess what I'm trying to say is surely being a swinger is a mindset rather than a relationship status? Or maybe I'm just a swinger in training |

So we are classed as swingers when we full swap with another couple, what do we become known as when we have a MMF 3some, by definition we can no longer be swingers as the male doesnt bring a female partner, so are we a couple that has invited a swingle for fun or can we call it swingtriplet  |
