The Channel BBC4, I normally give it a wide birth, but tonight, an Evening of Pink Floyd "

"Quite apart from some extraordinary music, and I say this as a 100% heterosexual male (with a bit of hedgerowsexual thrown in), isn't Dave Gilmour a handsome man?"
Especially compared to Roger Waters lol |

My first ever concert, although I went to the Wembely one not to New York.

My neighbours are hating me right now
No reason to hate you, you're educating them to the sound of proper music x"
That is true, though by the time the weekend has finished and I've played every album of theirs a few times over, I think they might lol. |

I lived on the outskirts of London most of my life, but I'd moved up to Cheshire just before that, so had to settle for watching it on TV and PC lol. |

Sad I don't think we'll ever see Floyd tour again, I saw them in Paris in 89 and Earls Court in 94 too, along with Roger Waters The Wall in September these are the best gigs I've ever been to and whilst I've seen some great performances from other bands, nothing ever seems to come close to to the overall experience.
I've seen Roger Waters do the DSOM tour a few times as well and that didn't come close either. The Wall was something else though, the sound was amazing and the visuals blew me away, I may have been tripping my nuts off though |

I can't see them tour again now
I did 3 nights on the trot @ Earls court, well 4 if you include the very first night when the seats collapsed and the concert was cancelled lol. |

Yeah, I remember that, we were on what was supposed to be the second night, Dave Gilmour came on and said the seating was all safe and everyone in that area stood up and jumped up and down on them
I'm still holding out hope for a goodbye tour... I think it is getting so far from likely though.
They did try and get J-Zee bumped from headlining Glastonbury when they knew Richard Wright never had long to go, as he'd always wanted to do it, Eavis said no to them though (idiot) |

"The remaining two cannot stand RW, they do not need the money so it will never happen. DG has played at some of the recent wall gigs (badly!!!)"
they seem to be mellowing towards each other, don't think they've mellowed enough to tour together though. I think it's more Gilmour towards Waters than anything.
Gilmour tours occassionally but doesn't play more than 1 or 2 Floyd tracks, I prefer Waters' solo stuff to Gilmours, Pros and cons and Radio Kaos are good.

I did have every album they ever made on Vinyl, including a load of limited addition and rare presses. They were all stolen, along with every other record I had from my garage after my 2nd divorce. The thieving gits that nicked them probably only got £1 each for them at a bootsale as well |

Not much in it really. "
where abouts in the Stadium were you?
I was stood fairly central by the mixing desk and the sound was staggerlingly good.
I think I'm going to put my Pulse dvd on now |

some people stood by me had mates come down from the stands to the pitch, I choose to stand so I'd be closer and more central for the sound, didn't realise it was going to be surrond sound before mind. Iooking around it did seem some of the seats were a long way away mind. There was loads of room on the pitch. |

I just don't get Pink Floyd, I've tried but they do absolutely nothing for me.
After watching some of the concert last night I have to say Nick Mason is a awful drummer; the technical stuff being done by the second drummer |

I've often been tempted, they're playing in Plymouth next year, so I should go really. If it's ok for Mr Gilmour... Seems I couldn't get a ticket for Glastonbury next year I do need something to look forward to. |
