facebook, as a site, has many good things about it.
however, they allow graphic vidoes and pictures of some rather distasteful things.
my mother (knocking 70) has just rung me to say they have given her a 12 hour ban for using the work 'faggot'
see, she is on a page called 'born and bred in Tipton' and there was a conversation about grey pays (peas) and faggots (as in meatballs).
she now has to leave her farm and that kind of shit, unnattended for the next half a day.
you really couldnt make it up lol |

I know!! It's ridiculous isn't it??
I've been told about some totally horrifying videos and photos on there yet my friend who does cam work for a living posted a pic of her from the waist up in a skimpy bra (nipples totally covered) and got a ban!
I wonder if there is an automatic ban for certain words?
Side note: I made my own faggots to sell in the butchers I used to work in once! They were amazing! |

Stangely when I posted my boobs pre and post op with a wire sticking out they have all remained. Actually have posted some near the knuckle ones.. My friends must be broad minded
I fear that you Mum was reported by someone rather than FB finding the post . Maybe she should look at the people on her friends list and re do her settings as to who sees her posts . The random farmers we have as friends should be set at seeing the least we post. I have lots of people from USA and they really are very narrow minded. |

Facebook make some absolutely amazing decisions sometimes. It astounds me. I'd have thought she should be able to contact them about the ban to inform them she was talking about food. It's easy enough for them to verify that faggots are food. I have heard of bans being reversed there. |

There's no such thing as 'privacy settings' on Facebook anymore. No matter how strictly you set the settings, people can still see what you post. Hate the site and rarely use it anymore because of it. |
