I am thinking of getting rid of my bath and changing to wet room. I was told by a colleague that this makes it tougher to sell as family homes sell faster with baths, more appealing. Anyone have experience with this? |

if you live in what could be described and sold as a family home a lack of a bath would put families off. Depends when you are thinking of selling. If not for a while why not have your wet room. You could always reinstall a bath if when you come to sell you are struggling. I'm no expert though I just like to give my opinion!!  |

My bath went years ago and i have a wet room.
I would have thought that a wetroom when trying to bath kids was a must.
I would have loved it when my son was little. quicker and cleaner
And those on a water meter....it saves a lot of money.
so a good selling point in my opinion   |

My house only has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom, therefore it is not going to be attractive to those with more than one child.
Hence I did away with the bath and installed a wet room to suit my needs back in 2006, as I had planned to stay in the house and area for at least 10 years.

Well in my bedroom I have a shower and spa bath ...... If I had to pick one be my bath as not a real shower lover . I have power shower in its own room but never in it as love my bath , I feel I can pamper myself in there and with my candles and music I love it and nice bath oils and bubbles heaven . |

"We removed our bath nearly 3 years ago. We have a shower and his and hers sinks. Best thing we ever did.
Put your wet room in and enjoy it. "
but if you were gonna sell would u put a bath back in? |

I work in property, and before you all stab me to death I'm not an estate agent. Not having a bath in a house will hinder the sale of a family house fact, don't get me wrong, I prefer a shower, everybody I know prefers a shower. But not having a bath will deter people |

You maybe able to get away with both if you can arrange it in your bath room.
Not knowing the size or plan of your bath room you could keep the bath and have a 'wet' area. Not sure what that would do to the appeal of your home to a buyer but it's an option you may wish to consider |

If we ever were to sell I'd put the bath back in as I'd want to take my two sinks with me. Lol. |
