Just a light hearted posting.
The number of profiles that carry some kind of warning often copied and pasted, maybe not read by the poster and frequently based on Sydney University or similar but....
...who would REALLY take legal action if their pictures were used elsewhere? Can you imagine nipping into your local 'where there's a blame' type solicitors?
"Well it's like this - on the picture I am sat on a woman wearing a strap on with two cocks in my mouth and cum running down my boobs.." |

Those warnings are based on the type of fear generated by chain letters, lots of them say "I suggest you put this on your profile". But not many would take legal action even if they could afford it. I wonder how you would find out for a start and I'm not entirely sure Sydney University exists even if it does what on earth would they want with a load of pictures of a middle aged woman and her husband? ![](/icons/s/eek.gif) |

I have read somewhere that it is a load of rubbish, in that the pictures have been placed in the public domain. I'm sure when you post pictures to Flickr nowadays you can choose whether you wish to retain copyright or not. I've never noticed whether Fab retains copyright on all the images on its website.
If Sydney Uni wants my pics their welcome to them, personally I couldn't give a flying fuck, I wouldn't have posted them on a free to access swingers contact site if I was.

Wasn't there a lass last year who found her pictures on a sex site and told reported it to the police? Then regretted it because the papers got involved, lol.
I won't say what site, but it starts with F and sounds like Rab! ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Do you know who i blame for Sydney? The older hands! Newbies come on site, peek at a few profiles and see it plastered about. They then get nervous and put it up themselves, hence, continueing the trend. |

Awe I have read this many many times in lots of profiles. It is completely pointless. For me I don't give a hoot if somebody uses my pics. Good luck to em I say. ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Just because a pic is put on a 'social' website does not mean it is in the public domain.
A recent court case proved this when the photographer was awarded £20000
Google it!
(difficulty is proving it & affording the court case) |

Billy151 makes a good point (still trying to keep it light hearted)
Those who bang on about delete this, block that and some that tell you off and block you for looking at their profile but not getting in touch with them. Good job they don't have a shop of their own eh? "Hey you looking through my shop window, f*ck off and don't come back!"
Clearly in some cases this is the only position of power some folk have ever been in... |

Technically the image rights rest with the person who took the picture, assuming the rights haven't been signed over so if you're getting fucked six ways from Sunday at a gang bang and some cheeky begger takes a pic and emails it to you, the rights aren't yours, they belong to them.
As for taking action, good luck! Hope you've got deep pockets!
Look its 2013, the world has changed, you can copy any image from anywhere online and use it for whatever purpose you like and the chances of getting caught are very slim. The chances of prosecuting anyone for using them are less then fuck-all so don't put anything online you don't want anyone else to see because at some point, they probably will. If you do and it happens, you've been the daftie. ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

I would take it as a great compliment if someone was to take my pics. As it is they have been using my body for the diet ads. Which I was a bit miffed with but I'll let them carry on |
