With the snowy icy conditions being forcast for the coming week the police are advising anyone travelling in icy conditions to take with them the following(thought it may be helpful to post it here)
shovel
blankets/sleeping bag
extra warm clothing inc hat,scarf,gloves
24 hour supply of food and drink
de-icer
rock salt
torch and spare batteries
safety triangle
tow rope
petrol can
1st aid kit
jump leads
names and phone numbers of people to contact in an emergency written down on paper
i looked a right twat on the bus this morning with this little lot |

My mother was always helping people, and she loved being usefull, so when she was cremated, I popped her ashes in my van, if I hit an icy spot she will once again be usefull |

Am surprised the Swiss haven't come up with a folding pocket kit to cover all the above. Will leatherman get there first? |
