First or second weekend in December then probably down boxing day or day after. I lovecChristmas and the run up to it but once it's done I want it gone. I find the week between Christmas and new year can be so depressing if trying to maintain a constant state of festive cheer!

Mine ended up on the floor god knows how many times last year, I could have cried! My older cats don't care about it but newer kitty was very interested in the tree. .. hope he's less bonkers this year!

I've never had a tree or decorations and it's highly unlikely that this will be the year that I start.

I'm not looking forward to Christmas at all this year.

yeah but they will have more memories.

my mum would never let us put any onf our handmade items on the main tree in the front room. she had all glass ornaments from John Lewis.

we had to have a small tree in the kitchen to put our stuff on

It has to be put up 12 days before christmas day, and taken down 12 days after christmas. I was always told this by my mum, if you put them up sooner or leave them later it is bad luck.

When I was a child we always had a real tree. My dad was always 'Bah humbug' about Christmas but mum always insisted.

She made the fairy to go on the top of the tree but I told her - I was maybe 6 or 7 - that she had to make knickers for her too because it would be draughty on top of the tree. lol

Recently I've heard several stories of stuff I said when I was younger, things that I can't recall, and some of them are hysterical.
