If the plastic isnt too fragile and flimsy a knife to scrape it off may work but there will be some residue

NOT nail varnish remover, that is likely to melt the plastic. Isopropyl alcohol is available from places like Maplin, it's sold as a cleaner for circuit boards and stuff. You might get it in a Chemists shop as well.

Best thing to remove sticky labels or the residue is lighter fuel. Just don't smoke while you do it!

An form of oil should work. IPA should work. Sticky Stuff Remover might work but I've encountered some crap ones as well as some good ones.

Avoid nail varnish remover/acetone.

Given your accident-prone nature... do you have any little swab things they use before giving injections? A lot of those are alcohol free now but some are soaked in isopropyl alcohol.

You're a very unfortunate being minxie, I wouldn't like to meet you, I'd be in fear of being kidnapped, run over or worse spontaneously combust. I think ill give you a wide birth, to save the bother. Good luck , carry a rabbits foot, a four leafed clover and a fire extinguisher just Incase, that's just a little bit of advice, a gentle suggestion. I'm asking you and imploring you to protect yourself, from yourself. If you don't want to take my advice that's fine it's all gravy!!!!! I won't get pissy and demand that you carry these beneficial objects. It's your life, your choice!!! Have you ever been cursed???? Have you ever spat In the face of an old gypsy woman???? I'm wondering how someone could be so jinxed, everyday facing a new folly ,untold proneness to accidents and continual battling with the forces of evil, or as you might call them persistent site stalkers. I await your reply worried that storm contained only to your street has left you without Internet , or that you've got yourself stuck up a tree, my love and luck to you x
