watched it on beeb 4 the other night.

Thought it was a bit scary. It probably wouldn't get past the censors these days with "wicked uncle Ernie, fiddling about"

It's not. A feeble attempt to torpedo, hijack or otherwise intentionally and with malice aforethought wreck Bens post

It's the who song I like best

My favorite Who track is 5.15 from Quadraphenia. Saw them do it live on TV back in 70's. Roger Daltrey swinging the mic cord like a lasoo will stay with me for ever

Here's an interesting fact:

My parents met at a cinema at a showing of Tommy. That's why they named me Tom and that's why my username is MrWho.

That's Ken Russell for you. Keith Moon revels in the part, doesn't he? It's when he met and forged his hell raising friendship with Oliver Read. What a pair they were. I was just old enough to see it when it came out certificate AA

Titz Towers, North Notts

I did hear a wonderful story about Keith Moon and friend going into a posh clothes shop and having an argument over the strength of a pair of trousers and pulling them until a trouser leg came away. At this point there was a scene and the shop staff became unpleasant. Cue a 3rd friend, with only 1 leg coming in and announcing, 'trousers with one leg, just what I want!' and then promptly buying them....
