Went on Sunday from around 2 to 6pm - It was ok but perhaps a little tame - More variety = yes, More stalls = yes and more seating = yes! Good venue though and let's hope next year they realise its potential! |

We didn't bother going. We were hoping for good reviews but sadly we are left disappointed.
The show has been going down hill for years. This was a missed opportunity. I think the organisers have left it too late... They had a year off and sounds like nothing has changed. The Internet has not helped shows like this but from our point of view the show is too main stream. It needs to have an edge like it did when it first started. Maybe it's time to hand the reigns over to someone new... |

As I put in another thread, last time I went I had free tickets and felt overcharged. The stalls seemed to be full of overpriced tat but I think that's because of the cost of getting a stall the business owners need to bump their prices to cover the cost.
A much better time to be had at the London Fetish Fair or Birmingham Bizarre Bazar IMO and a lot better value for money. |

"For those that went to Erotica over the last 3 days what were your thoughts of it ?
p.s. ours was not very much" I was there years ago and it was full of everything. And a very good show and the stands could shop for all things sexy, It would take hours to look around and the sexy shows so good too, But last two times 3 years ago last time was very bad it had cut back on everything and we felt a let down so we don't go now .. We would go to the Erotica ball too and we would love that .. Sad.. But maybe people don't have the money to have stands there now? |

Hi peeps.
Well erotica what can we say !
What the hell was erotic about it utter crap
New venue it was like a over priced shopping mall, no atmosphere, small stages not enough viewing areas or seating areas. Has got worse every yr. Berlin for us next yr .
After parties: launch. Well says it all didn't sail sunk.
Hellfire: over priced double normal entrance total rip off no effort on club part and music well we are both deaf now should we sue lol .
Summary : erotica you have ripped geat people off long enough. Pack up and live in your mansion |

I went on Sunday for an hr, just felt like a perv walking round as a single bloke, had a better experience when it was at olympia, I'd go again just not on my own. |

Not enough stalls selling shoes, clothes, hosiery. We probably wouldn't go the show again unless there is more to see and buy.
The Winter Ball was great, a real eye opener for my wife and I ! We had never seen anyone else having sex in real life before! A most Erotic experience.

Hitchin, Stevenage area. |
I went on Saturday afternoon with my girlfriend who has experience of the Fet Ball and Skin2 and used to be on the stalls at Olympia, she said it was better, who am I to argue! It was just right, not too crowded, you could see most things, stalls were interesting, though perhaps could have been a few more.
Location was really nice, food was good quality and variety, not just a crappy burger, reasonably priced too.
We stayed in the Holiday Inn down the road and hoped to meet a couple and play that night but nothing, only a few in the bar so we annoyed the neighbours! |

The organisers charge so much for a stall, none of the edgy, creative craftsmen / women can afford it. Leaving only the big companies, most of who were over charging for their product to cover the costs.
Spearmint Rhino had a large club area which was boring as hell, it can't be very good PR for them.
In a strange way, I think if it were cheeper all round, it would be higher quality, because this was expensive but poor quality. Make it smaller, make it edgy, make it fun. |

thought it was much better years ago. Seemed like a lot more booths in Earls Court too, a lot of the available space was empty? And not a lot of things that were there were really good quality or unusual?! Even the shows were a bit of a let down. Won't be going back. Actually found better quality and variety at LAM! |

"London alternative market... It's on our to do it list... Google it for opening times and venue details...
Thanks for that .... will look it up and see you there "
I went for the first time last month. It's got a lot of things to buy and was quite busy. I saw things I didn't know existed.

Went on the friday and we were very disappointed not enough stalls selling shoes/boots, lingerie and all crammed into a shopping centre experience. Will probably miss anymore of these shows, a chance missed by erotica to reboot these shows to prominence.
Went to the winterball on Saturday and after a slow start enjoyed it thoroughly as we were first timers. Enjoyed all the rooms especially the corners speaking to some people they said it was quite tame, so I can only assume we would love these other nights as I wasn't quite expecting what I witnessed but we both enjoyed the voyeuristic side to our nature and also a little exhibitionism towards the end please feel free to give us a namecheck on other fetish nights like this please. All in all yes we would revisit the winterball but sadly it's most probably a big no to the daytime show. |

Having a 'stall' at EROTICA has been on my 'things to do list' for quite sometime, however the prices to hire a space is way out of my league
It really is such a shame, because if the prices were reduced, then more 'traders' would attend making it a more interesting event for visitors
Until the organisers make some serious changes to their pricing structure, then i think this event will never be as successful as it could be
Its a very disappointing situation but one that needs addressing - lets hope the organisers sit up and listen!!

With all the exposure on the net, how can any exhibition be fresh and new, the web is the place to perv in private, on line there are no limits to what you can see and buy, an exhibition in a public building, will never again to live up to peoples expectations, its finished, lets move on, the expense involved for exhibitors is prohibitive. |

Organisers have to charge the going rate for trade stand space, its the same at agricultural shows, town shows, I have exhibited at events and shows since 1975, and each year the price goes up, I am now unable to make any money at all, so have changed my marketing statergy and now spend the money having a web presence, reaching potentially 440 million clients. |

Agree that the net can reach a much wider audience (my analytics are evidence that the BMFC site has 100s over Overseas visitors on a daily basis
However i still feel that there is nothing better than face to face interaction and THAT is my reason for wanting to have a stand at an event like this
If i DID hire a stall there, I would always be 'out of pocket' as i dont have a product to sell (there is no charge to become a BMFC member) but the attraction of engaging with 60,000+ REAL visitors over the 3 day period is the 'pull'
But in hindsight, it seems the number of visitors were lower than anticipated AND that most people didnt feel satisfied with the exhibition overall, in which case im glad that i didnt waste my money too ... |

we thought that by changing the venue it would be cheaper for trade stands so there would be more on offer but it was less quite a bit less than 3 years ago when we last went, deff wont bother next year that's for sure |

Let down, two years to do a decent job and there was no atmosphere until it got dark. We've been going since the first time Dita Von Tease danced on stage there. Been going down hill in the past years. Can't believe that Honour wasn't even there,( No skin two clothes), nice shoes or cheap toys. Cabernet was good but still felt cheated. Not sure if it was because for the first time I drove and went on Sunday (norm is to go on Saturday and then onto the party).
Not sure if I'll go next year! |
