Ok, I am fully aware that this is a topic that has been talked about a zillion times here, but it just had to be my turn to ask.
Is it true that in the swinging community female bisexuality is more accepted than male one?
And if it is so, is it not because the swinging community unfortunately has not got rid of the prejudices and unfair judgements (which we some times conveniently mask as "preference") that exist in the wider society?
Call me naive but my idea is that the swinging community is (or should be) about all of us enjoying our sexuality with each other, as long as we don't disrespect each other's boundaries.
***This post is not a moan by the way***
What do the rest of you think?

If I don't want to play with someone, shouldn't that person respect my wishes?
Or can that person say I am not respecting their wishes if they want to play but I don't?

Male bisexuality it less accepted by males I think. It's not a manly thing to do after all. I know quite a few straight men that would suck a cock and maybe go further but will not say they are bisexual |

So people can enjoy their sexuality with who they wish...as long as they include you...got it! |

Although in ancient greek or sparta or carthage (I forget which), man to man sex was encouraged as it created a situation whereby one guy would fight harder, longer and better to protect his mate, so in that respect (fighting), it was considered very masculine.
I think i'm getting straighter.... |

It's an interesting topic.
1. Which swinging community are you talking about ?
2. Yes it is because of long held prejudices but not the prejudices you hint at i.e that male bisexuality is frowned upon. Female bisexuality SEEMS more prevalent and acceptable however that is because women have long been seen as existing for sexual use rather than having sexual needs. I won't take back the next statement for any reason. A large percentage of the females on here are bisexual by nurture not nature. I can't accept the number of couples with a straight male and a bi female ..... law of averages just doesn't bear it out.
3. You're naive if you think someone who doesn't want sex with you is just being so so so so mean and unfair to you.

there was nothing snide about my remark, I just said your point of view was interesting given the fact that you are bi-curious. You have your opinions and I expressed mine. We are in a democracy after all, aren't we? |

Sometimes a preference,is just a preference,no need for a mask.
Female bisexuality is more acceptable, cause birds have got better bits.
(only kidding granny,I also think much of it is nurtured) |

There must be millions of inappropriate analogies. Morphing into a totally separate species has been just one of them. |

Yes, I'm pretty sure it is. And yes, it probably reflects the balance of attitudes prevalent in society, which may well be based on human nature. For instance I bet you will find that F on F turns on more guys than M on M does women. |

Sorry Granny, I can't quote your bit as I'm on my phone and too lazy to get the bit I want.
Anyway, I wanted to agree with your comment that for most bisexual women on here it's nurture, not nature. They just do it for their blokes.
(that should probably be a 'thumbs down'!) |

Partly its the assumption of masculinity and with couples the woman wants a masculine man to take her in front of her partner. Also the stigma of bi males playing less safe than straight ones (or they get a lot more sex) its an issue people don't like to think about but it is in the back of some peoples minds. |

That's your opinion...I think its very appropriate!
Just because a man may enjoy sucking a cock when aroused...does not necessarily mean he's attracted to men as opposed to women! |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I think it's a continuum with some at either end of the extreme and most of us swimming along the range. Situationally bi-sexual people operating in the moment and enjoying what they did then and with those people.
Choosing to say you are bi IS a choice and some choose to declare it and others don't. Some don't because of a stigma and some don't because it's not their primary preference. Some because they "dabbled" with bi, enjoyed it at the time, but don't feel like that any more.
I find it odd when people say that they would never touch a bi person but then may 'act' bi themselves. Unless it is declared I don't know how many bi men or women I have met on here.
I do think there is a greater proportion of people on here that will say the female is bi and not mention what happens with the male. Sometimes this may be in the words "comfortable around other men" or other such phrases.
You only know what people tell you and what you observe.
I'm bi-selfish. I want to meet two bi men but that is proving as rare as hens teeth on here.
There is a prejudice.

Some folk have not yet realised that we're still evolving mentally and only just starting to explore sexually....to pigeon hole another persons sexual thoughts, feelings and the beliefs they hold, to a point in time? seems....well... more than a little bit crazy to me! |
