Okay not going to talk about marmite... Lol
Just had a heated discussion in the office where a person has just stated that "fruit" i.e pineapple, does not belong on a pizza...
Me being the non-pizza eater stayed out....
The someone else said fruit does not belong anything with chocolate... Or in cookies!
This is when I got dragged in... ( still not been forgiven by half the office for bringing dried chocolate covered bacon)
So post your own food controversies and tell ppl where you stand on them....

Personally I love cherry, apple, gooseberries and rhubarb pies so can't understand why you wouldn't put them in one.
I also love apricots when cooked in Moroccan lamb tagines.
I love guacamole when in various savory Mexican dishes.
Oh and you can't beat tomatoes with a good old fry up.
Personally I love fruit in all sorts if varieties. Hugh fearnly-whatever has got it so right.
Oh I and I love marmite too.

Fruit doesn't belong on a pizza or in cheese
Quorn bacon/sausages-what's the point? If you're a veggie wouldn't you want to eat something else? |

I'll have you know that chocolate covered bacon is lush... Lol and just to really make my work colleagues really wretch I showed them a picture of a speciality of the Texas state fair....

Cheese and pineapple on a Sputnik is great but I can't stand pineapple on a pizza. It's the wrong cheese.

Until it reached Hawaii, all the way from Italy, or reached some guy that had a half-arsed plan to sell five or six different varieties of pizza, pineapple did not belong on pizza, and still doesn't.
The only fruit that belongs in or on a pizza is a tomato or a bell pepper.
But my own pet hate has to be celery in stews. Tasteless sludge. For flavouring soups or stews, we have celery salt! |

Bananas. I hear they're maybe controversial. Dont especially like em myself but i eat em as they're good for you.
Where do i stand on them? Occasionally on my kitchen floor if havent put all my shoppomh away or one little bugga escapes the flock. |

Beautiful has to be lambs liver though, with gravy and lashing of onions, maybe a bit of bacon, crusty bread to dip in and wipe the plate.
makes a turkey look ugly.

First of all, mayonnaise on toast, one of my favourite comfort foods.
I make a very nice salad with potato, ham, eggs, petits pois, sweetcorn, peppers, spring onions, and mixed fruit salad, with mayonnaise.
Some peeps don't like it as they can't tell between pieces of potato from pears.

No to any form of fruit on a pizza (yes, we know a tomatoes a fruit)
...No! To fruit in coleslaw , otherwise its fruit salad...
I think raisins, sultanas and currants are horrid and pineapple only tastes nice on the way out
My odd food like (to others) is salt n vinegar crisps, dipped in tomato soup...yum.
Also, have to agree with the escaPEAS!, there is no need for them to turn up, in rice, or pasta or soup, or or or...get back next to the fish, you rolly fuckers  |
