I (Mand) am currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. We did leave the site for a time when I was diagnosed and to allow recovery-time from surgery. But we rejoined a few weeks ago as we find the support from friends and strangers alike to be extremely helpful and therapeutic.
We would value your opinions on this topic folks. |

All the best for a speedy recovery. I kept my profile open for chat and the forums before and after my hip replacement last year and it was an ocean of (in)sanity whilst I was off work and struggling with a bit of depression waiting on the operation xxx |

Earlier in the year i collapsed and had a triple heart bypass and was fitted with a pacemaker AND defibrillator.
And like you, the support from friends and strangers alike on this site was amazing, it even led to one particular meet that has carried on to become a very welcome regular thing.
It shows there are more good people on the site than bad ones....Barry |

Thank you for your responses guys and gals. Much appreciated. And we wish each and every one of you all the best as you make your way back to health and happiness.
We are not meeting at the moment, just here to socialise when I feel up to it and to keep up with life in the wonderful world that is Fab lol.
The hundreds of messages of support and encouragement we've received have been heartwarming and as much of a lifeline for Sean as for me - I think people sometimes tend to forget the carer/partner. I know from my own experience I'd rather be the ill person that having to watch someone I love suffering.
As a woman I also felt it was important to let others know there is life after -and during - breast cancer. And that we are still sexual and sensual creatures regardless of obstacles like breast cancer. xxx |
