Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
Me and my long-term FB have called it a day, and I need something to distract me from being a bit sad about it. I am unable to shag for a few days due to a visit from the lovely Mother Nature, so all non-sexual (and hopefully not too expensive) suggestions entertained. |

This is going to sound a bit sad, but I don't have any girlfriends nearby. And my daughter moved to another city so I can't bug her either. |

Fuck buddy, not boyfriend. We had an 'arrangement' for 7 years that suited us both.
But thanks for your concern. |

I'm thinking booze is going to be the one to go for.
Music, lots of music, preferably stuff that doesn't remind you of him....."
That will be easy . His and my taste in music did not overlap much. |

Livers regenerate so as long as it's only a short-term bender and not prolonged abuse you'll be fine! |

Lots of alcohol, start off with some maudling films (beaches, steel magnolias etc) and your body weight in chocolate. Then get your hair done, nails done, buy some gorgeous new lingerie, slip in some jiggle balls and take yourself off for a sexy strut down your high street before meeting a gorgeous man off fab and using him completely for your own pleasure |

What works for me is getting on the phone to a girlfriend and talking it through for hours, friends always make you feel better.
It is sad when relationships come to an end, and I mean any kind if relationship, romantic, friends, work colleagues etc, you will miss them |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
You could send cryptic messages to everyone. You could find me a couple of bi men to fulfill my fantasy. You could call people (not text or e-mail just real old-fashioned letting it ring and see what happens). You could read a new book. You could write a book. You could start walking and see where you end up. You could get an off-peak train fare and see if it's on time. You could monitor all the trains in and out of York and write letters of complaint at their failure to adhere to the timetable. |

It depends what you want, Do you really want him back, or do you want to get over him?
There are different methods of dealing with each case, I ask because it sounds like you don't want to let go and get over him. |

When I moved to leeds years ago, I became a member of city socialising. I met some really nice people who im still good friends with today. Its not about dating just meeting new people and enjoying nights out. It was good for me as I didn't know anyone in the area at all. X |

Just because I feel sad at losing someone I have been friends with for 7 years doesn't mean I am pining for him. I just am looking for distractions so I don't think about him for a while.
The relationship has come to a natural end, so there's no point 'not letting go'. It was a mutual decision, so I have no idea why you think I don't want to get over him. |

You just add some to search for you too. Mine need to be closer than York anyway.
As someone else suggested look on the spa thread and book yourself a little treat too. As there is a hotel sale on as well I could even consider coming up your way for a spa and overnight stay. Lots of bi men and us!

You're right. I don't want to spend all weekend pissed and with indigestion. However I think I'll resume my gym programme next week and spend the weekend catching up on some unwatched DVDs. Nothing like a subtitled film to take your mind off things. |

Nah, he's made his feelings clear and I am happy to leave him alone. I would have spent the weekend shagging my way round York if I wasn't on my period, but as I am I was just looking for ways to entertain myself til I'm not. |
