"Nice to see guys turning up with gifts which I've rarely had nor do I expect any, far more important for them to actually not cancel meets "
I think it's rude to turn up at someone's house without something... Even if you are going to drink it yourself |

"this one for the men what gift would you take for your meet mine would be wine "
In general I don't make a habit of taking gifts and neither do I expect one if they visit me someones company is good enough without and added frills.
What makes you feel as though you need to take a gift? |

I've never taken a gift nor been given one!
Sometimes when I've got in a regular pattern with a guy we now and again get some food to share but that's not a gift is it? |

"The here and now is a gift, that's why they call it the present."

I dont tend to present gifts at the beginning until i have gotten to know the person well.
Made the mistake of turning up once with a box of chocks which the lady felt obliged to eat but didnt tell me she was a diabetic! |

"Why the original star wars trilogy, a tub of B+J ice cream, and some Tescos finest brand wine of course. You certainly know how to be rock n roll...what flavour Ben n Jerrys? "
Well I know they've got loads of flavours now that I don't know of, but I'd choose cookie dough. |

...I am going to curse...
Are we her to fuck? Or go to the prom?, think that answers my thoughts on gifts.
...If its a continual string of meets, or friends, then buying each other things, as you learn more about someone or food (cooked, or eaten out), isn't the same thing, as arriving with flowers, I'd find it a little Mr Bean. and that's putting it mildly. |

If I am going to someones house I will take a bottle of wine, but normally its a hotel as I can't accomadate so no gifts there. I do have a special friend that I spend the weekend with and we always treat each other with and we always treat each other with dinner etc |

Think I'd find it a little odd if someone I'd never met turned up to a meet with flowers/ chocs. Like others have said, little things here and there when you get to know a person is different especially if it is something you are both going to use (like the mint choc ice cream sauce in my bedside table ) |
