I think it could be interesting to see how they use modern day aspects in the film. Anyone who has read the book will know of the updates on the aftermath through a series of newswire/AP reports. Can you imagine the kids in the burning gym updating their Facebook statuses and filming what is going on? |

There's this video going around on Facebook of a girl losing it in a cafe when someone knocks her coffee over, it was staged to make it look like she moved all the tables and pinned this guy against the wall via telekinesis. I was sat there thinking 'hey it's like Carrie' then at the end popped up Carrie 2013. The cafe stunt was a promo for the film lol |

For what the original is as a historic piece of film, the new one will be in a league of its own, but the cast is very promising and I think they'll go for more scares than GCI cheese |

I saw that video, it's funny because you see all the stunts being put into place and then later all the cafe customers shit themselves, not even questioning why a table slides perfectly up and down a beam on the wall.
But yeah all the remakes over the last decade and before are cack. Except the Rob Lowe Salems Lot, I liked that. |

I watched a dodgy copy of it online. Would say it's very similar to the original script wise,woword for word for a lot of it. Still I don't think that's a bad thing. The religiosity isn't as cringeworthy as in the original. |
