"Do you like to be treated like a princess or do you wish the patronising fucker would treat you like an adult ?"
Bit of both
Though which ever he does he will always do it wrong |

A princes if he lavishes me with the finest wines, food, an expensive hotel, a week end in the Seychelles and a new car.
An adult when all I want is a good honest shag! |

I wouldn't worry nobody is going to mistake you for a princess no matter how bad the light is. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I have never been treated like a princess by anyone, male or female. It's not something my father did and I have never met men that feel they want to treat me in this way.
I have met men who have treated me with respect and for that I am very happy.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
"Why does being treated nicely by a gentleman have to equate to being patronized? "
I don't see anywhere in the OP saying that being treated nicely is a bad thing.
I like to be treated like an adult, equal in intelligence and ability to the bloke. Not that I have ever been treated like a delicate flower. Being 5'10 and having fore-arms like a docker put paid to that. |

It doesn't but putting a thread up with so little ambiguity just looks as though its an attempt to steer peoples mindsets that way. |

i wanted to be a daddys girl soooo bad!,, it never happened. He never battered an eyelid if i had a boyfriend, dont ever remember bedtime stories, can never remember having a hug or kiss from him.
so there was a time in my life where i wanted to be someones princess... but that passed. |

I've never been treated like a princess: goddess yes, can't say I was ever unhappy with my lot. I've been patronised and condescended to professionally: now that didn't go down well. |

I suppose that depends what the "patronising fucker" did to make you feel like a child and what you define as a "princess". |

I've had the professional pratronising (sic) but I've never managed goddess status. I was someone's Arch Angel once though. |

Isn't being treated like a princess being treated nicely then? Opening doors, pulling out chairs, doing things for you, buying you nice things etc? |

I've had doors held for me, just as I do for others but not really any of the rest from men.

(She/ her) in Sensualityland |
I appreciate being treated with the (mutual) respect a human being deserves. Beyond that having a door held open for me is lovely but then I would hold it open for somebody behind me (man or woman) just the same.
I believe in equality and princesses (and princes) do not really have a place in that world. But then I am not a bra burning, loud mouthed feminist either |
