Pictures are moderated by people, not machines, so yes, it could well be that simple.

Do you have any reason to think there is more to it than that?

Oh yes...loads if reasons! When we've mentioned it on here before the regulars go wild at any suggestion of wrong doing! Lets just say we've been doing this long enough to know when something isn't right....we're not stupid!

I can't really understand why you seem to be taking the problem personally though. It could easily be a problem with the site or because there are no picture mods around.

As pointed out above, maybe a technical forum would be a more helpful place to post this? We lounge lizards don't know any more than you.

I suppose it depends on what time you upload them. The mods are after all human and as such are allowed to have time away from site.

depending on how many picture mods are logged on at any given time of day v's the volume to be approved will determine the approval time. 40 mins is not long at all.

Through the night approvals will be impacted I would suggest as many will be sleeping. As you will know, it is a voluntary task.

if its really so important what a bunch of strangers think about your photos and the situations therein, why not just wait, naked, in public until the passers by tell you

Fab is a teeny tiny part of my life, hence why I and many others couldn't give a hoot how long our pics take to be uploaded or whether we get top of Fab'd list!!!

To me personally, that is taking this site way way too seriously!

It once took 2 and half hours for one of our pics to be approved, it was a face pic so I thought the man was against us and decided we were too ugly to be approved,

But really all it was was it was Saturday night and they were busy, scary 2 hours, down with the man I say

To the OP.....the best place to ask these questions is the site help section as sometimes you will get answers in the lounge that there is no need for.

The answer is probably the same as a couple of others gave you, mods are not always online so sometimes you have to wait but the wait is not normally too long.
