I know Ruby wanted to do this herself but it is my sad duty to inform you all that her father passed away tonight.

Sorry to hear the news. My condolences to Ruby and her family. Prayers too. He sounds like a great dad, who will be much missed - remember the good times, celebrate his life as much as possible. |

Remember you need to grieve as well. It's great being strong for others but look after yourself too.

So sorry to read of your loss
I had a TIA in 2012 n another in 2013 - I was one of the lucky ones so far.
This is a truly devastating time for you but hope you can find some comfort in many happy memories of your father xxx |

thank you so much for all the posts on here and the mails and texts ive had it has helped me so much he was a great dad and I was lucky to have had him all this time
its helped a bit trying to be strong for my mum who is a mess after 59 years of marriage but no way could he have survived |

my condolences to you and your family hun, I hope you can help your mum as doing this will ultimately help you as well, remember the good times with her, laugh if you can about some silly things, for sure she will be devastated and each individual handles it diferently, if you have any siblings, get them involved too, if you have any aunts/uncles get them too, try to seek some councelling either church or not, the more people you can talk about this to, the easier your pain will become, xxxx

I got her a photo of him to put by her bed so she can kiss him goodnight I think its helped her he was sooo loved by all the family... people have been very kind |

In time the pain will diminish and you can all have the bittersweet memories of a life full of laughter and tears.
He's not gone as long as you keep him alive in your memory. |
