why would you want to hide it 
you can hide your summery, not individual verification |

Huh? You can choose which specific verifications to show as well as being able to show or hide the summary.
The default for a new veri is hidden. You need to choose to show it. |

I smile when people write verifaction instead of verification as it's a nice twist on the word. I do wonder if some are verifictions though.

I would think if he doesn't display it then his updates won't pronounce it has been displayed. |

It says (insert name) displayed a new verification.
If did want people to know I got one then I would not display it.
I just don't want to take out an advert when I get one

I think this one for the site feedback board then. Displaying is a sort of advert in itself.

Some of the facts and factions are variable on here so that works well too.
