the people that use the forum are but a handful of users on Fab. A lot of people on the site want single men. Some single men can let their horn rule their head but most people will ignore those. People get a bit frustrated with them and vent on here. I personally,as a bi woman prefer single men on here  |

I dont think that is true, I think its the behavior and attitude of some single guys that some find objectionable. I have written on my profile that I am not interested in single guys but still get messages looking for a shag/bj etc and Im a guy, I can image now the ladies feel getting that constantly  |

The OP needs to understand that like most communities in life its about the market place. FAB has circa 120,000 subscribers at anyone time give or take 10%. Of the massed ranks over 98,000 of those subscribers are single men (or those who purport to be single) that's almost 80% of the community.
The remainder of the FAB world is made up of Couples (MF) single ladies, TVs and TS's with others being the smallest minority.
So the 20% have a lot to choose from (if that is their catchment pool!) with those kind of odds its little wonder that MF couples and single ladies who seek single men will be inundated with various forms of requests to meet some will be polite and engaging some will be less polite and lets say frank and to the point. Those who prefer the frank and less subtle approach to finding playmates seemingly have those who prefer a gentle and thoughtful approach, tarred with the same brush. Hence a degree of scepticism creeps in to the 20% who form the minority. Does that answer your question? |

2. Ignorant, ill mannered and arrogant, who think being on here somehow entitles them to a shag.
3. Not single!
In our experience, as a rough estimate, I would say the first group makes up under 20% of the guys we have had contact with.  |

Especially when you look on their profile and you get someone who's been on here for x years with no veri's (wonder why), or joined four minutes ago (then next day there name has changed to "user no longer on site".

That's a pretty big generalisation isn't it?? This is exactly what I say AND do! Don't forget the just being polite and friendly etc isn't enough to get you meets as there needs to be an attraction too but just because men get turned down or messages deleted doesn't mean they are hated! "
A lot of women I have spoken to in person claim they want the friendly, polite and well mannered men who are single and a lot of the time. They pick out guys who are rude and arrogant and then claim to love them whilst moaning that they want to meet a "nice" guy. Just an observation. Meant no harm by the comment made. Its just something I have noticed when speaking to women in person. |

In the few weeks that I am on the site it appears that there is a much higher percentage of women in Britain who just seek males.curious. . .
I fall into category 1 above but it makes no difference. Still get few replies and some don't even look at the profile and therefore don't even choose to _iew face pic and this when I would meet their very specific requests. The mind boggles. I am seriously considering sending much more explicit messages. . .  |

No it isnt to high, a lot depends on your local area but regardless, you will find on any online site like this or even vanilla dating that there are always more guys than girls.

I totally agree..There is a recurrence of this "single men are hated" theme every now and then on the forum which is a statement so often made as a bland generalisation based on the contributors' lack of success and patience.
Judging by the response here and elsewhere on the forum it is also a highly dubious generalisation. |

I've never had an abusive reply from a woman, but am always careful to send a polite message that demonstrates that I have read and understood the profile.
I do admit I have sometimes had no reply at all, but I fully understand the reasons why they might be, and do not consider that rude at all. |
