If its anything like the REAL black widow, the male will be a small insignificant brown thing... |

Yes males are plain and about size of a 20p and closely resemble a common house spider their bite isn't as dangerous as the females bite. In fact the bite if the female only feels like a bee sting its just that some people have allergic reactions to it where flesh eats away at itself or can provoke stroke in people with serious heart conditions but these are worse case scenarios n they only bite if they feel threatened |

they do bite and are the most venemous variety of spider we have here i believe but the reactions seen in the news etc are extreme and rare.
just give them a respectful berth and they shouldn't bother you too much |

I currently have 3 spiders that are stalking me....one big fat one keeps building a web right across the front door, one builds his right next to my car door, and the biggest, muscliest longest legged monster (which has muscles on him that the men on here would be proud to display) is currently in my kitchen blocking my fucking exit!!!!! Anyone got a gun? |

Honestly... they come over here and breed worse than rabbits. You will have to excuse me I'm deranged. I'm going back upstairs now to the cellar for a lie down. |

"Well, im loading my window sills up with conkers ....they dont like conkers. so will stay away "
You have to make sure you drill a hole in the conkers or it wont work, it's the smell inside that they don't like. I was told this yesterday after finding one on my daughters swing in the garden.... |

There really is nothing to be worried about. They've been in the UK for over a century and bites are rare (although there are always exceptions to the rule). I don't know why the press have all of a sudden got their knickers in a twist about them as their fairly harmless unless you have an allergic reaction but the same can be said about bees and wasps or anything else that can sting or bite... |

If a fake widow spider had a profile on here would it be a fake profile or a genuine profile and does the spider know its fake widow spider or does it think its a genuine widow spider?
So many questions in this world |

"I read in the press the real Black Widow spiders are reaching our shores."
Black widows have been about in some area's for years, as have scorpions and tarantula's. They mostly exist in dock area's. The old warehouses at Dagenham were crawling with the big furry things, mainly brought in with fruit |

You can always tell how big and horrible a spider is by its tattoos |

I watched something about this the other day. That isn't actually true. There are 2 types of false widows in the UK. One is more venomous than the other, being the one with the markings. Nothing said about that being a female, just a different species. And the other is plain black. . . . |

If this is the case I might put a nest of them in my bed...if I get bit on the cock I can put VVVVVWE with good girth on my profile ;p haha |

There's absolutely nothing to worry about with them. They're non-aggressive and their bites aren't fatal either.
They've also been in this country for just over 100 years, so they're nothing new.
Oh yeah; and there are 12 types of spider that can bite in this country as well ... so I'd look out for those too.
