I've always thought it was an act.
Why go through what he does in An Idiot Abroad ifhe knows it's gonna be to make a fool out of yourself?
I also don't like Gervais or Merchant (who looks like a tall Russell Howard) |

Not an act, hes a genuine simple (not stupid) thinking man who says it as he sees it.
just watched him on sunday brunch, who can argue with the thought "if everyones a genius, whos going to empty the bins" ? KP's theory, the world needs idiots to do tbe boring jobs.
dont like gervais & merchant though, i've said before they prefer to laugh at people instead of with them. To me thats tbe behaviour of bullies. |

It's obviously scripted and boarded to maximise laughs but Pilkington is funny because of the way he is.
I love the way he never laughs at his situations or even smiles so much. The look on his face is pure social awkwardness. Love it. |

Haven't seen it, only the shorts, but I assume it's similar to idiot abroad - which was obvious from the start that it was an act, which was made pathetic by the unfunny Jervais & co - making out that it wasn't!!
......made for the not too bright Americans, I'd imagine!

Tonight's episode has been pulled by Sky as it is the final one and about death. Some of it was filmed in the Philippines, and Sky made the decision out of respect to the tragedy there recently. Kudos. |
