I was reading an add for a fetish party on another site and was surprised to read that they had strict rules regarding sexual contact, with absolutely no penetrive sex whatsoever.
Never having been to one of these types of parties this seemed unusual compared to the swinging scene.
Today I read a profile of a fetish couple who have stopped going out on the fetish scene as they said that the swingers have ruined it for them, the swingers like the fetish attire, which can be damn sexy  but they can no longer go due to the overt sexual behaviour of swingers on the fetish scene taking over from the original fetishists non sexual behaviour.
I find the fetish clothing look very alluring but have no wish to be hung from the ceiling by fish hooks or whipped until I bleed, or to watch this happening to others... Should swingers be more aware of where they are going and how their behaviour affects others when they go to some alternative venues? |

Kink and swinging is very diverse.
Some kinksters hate swingers,
Some swingers hate Kinksters,
Then there are those like me that enjoy both together, and usually find a balance in the middle.
It is true though many kink events have a 'no penetration/sex' rule, that's not unusual.
Some swinging clubs facilitate kink, some dont.
There is a market for each set of people so it's a case of going where you feel comfortable and with those facilities you desire. |

Yeah I think you're right there are always variations in people's perceptions of what they want out of something and you can't please all of the people all of the time, awaiting innuendo here...
Makes me think of the Bizzare magazine where they would have pictures from the top London fetish clubs. Always showing the stereotypical super fit ladies wrapped in latex and leather as opposed to a general mix of the punters. That sort of coverage was probably going to attract the wrong type of punter to the events. I know a guy who went especially to a westward bound event just for that reason... |

When I first started exploring the kink and swing scene I joined a site aimed at each. This same debate was going on even then, nearly 7 years ago.
I don't like to mix the two, mainly because when I'm in kink mood, my needs are very extreme, I like the extreme side of kink.
I've had a scene spoiled before because it was a fetish night held in a swing club, but they didn't turn away their usual clientele, and had people walking through the scene disrupting my concentration and that of the Dom I was with, men stood around wanking, getting closer and couples loudly tutting about how disgusting what we were doing was.
So now I don't go to fetish nights held a swing clubs, I stick to dedicated fetish clubs, and on the occasion that this club holds a swing night, I'll only attend if I'm looking for swinging sex. |
